Our Story

City Signs began with a simple vision and unwavering dedication to quality. In the fall of 1997, Greg Kyler opened the doors of City Signs in Modesto, California, starting what would become one of the Central Valley's most trusted sign companies. What began as a one-man operation with humble beginnings has grown into a thriving business built on the foundation of hard work, honesty, and exceptional craftsmanship.

From those early days, Greg quickly established a reputation that would define City Signs for decades to come. Our Leadership

Kevin Pope - President & Owner

Kevin Pope has been an integral part of the City Signs family since 2006, when he joined the company as a designer. His natural talent and dedication quickly became apparent, and he distinguished himself through his exceptional ability to manage complex, large-scale projects while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Kevin's technical expertise extends beyond design work, as he has developed an impressive skill set in maintaining and repairing the sophisticated machinery that powers our daily operations.

As co-owner and President of City Signs, Kevin oversees the day-to-day operations with a particular focus on production and fabrication. His hands-on approach and deep understanding of every aspect of the sign-making process ensure that our team operates at peak efficiency while maintaining the quality standards our customers expect. Kevin's leadership style combines technical expertise with practical problem-solving, making him an invaluable asset to both our team and our clients.

When he's not leading our production efforts, Kevin enjoys pursuing his passion for fishing and spending relaxing days at the beach, where he recharges and finds inspiration for the challenges ahead.

James Campbell - CEO & Owner

James Campbell joined the City Signs team in 2009, beginning his journey with us as a designer. His exceptional abilities quickly became evident, and he demonstrated remarkable growth in multiple areas of the business. James proved himself not only as a talented designer but also as an effective project manager and natural leader, skills that led to his promotion to Design Manager.

James's career trajectory at City Signs reflects his versatility and commitment to excellence. From his role as Design Manager, he transitioned into upper management, where his strategic thinking and leadership capabilities continued to shine. His progression to ownership represents the culmination of years of dedicated service and proven results.

As co-owner and CEO, James brings a comprehensive understanding of the business to his leadership role. His responsibilities encompass surveys and sales, where his design background helps him communicate effectively with clients about their vision and needs. He continues to oversee the design department, ensuring that our creative output meets the highest standards while staying current with industry trends and client expectations. Additionally, James plays a crucial role in overall company forecasting and goal setting, helping to chart the course for City Signs' continued growth and success.

Outside of work, James treasures the time he spends with his wife and newborn son, finding joy and motivation in his growing family.

Our Expert Team

Rebecca Miller serves as our Office Manager, providing the administrative backbone that keeps our operations running smoothly. Anthony Aguilar leads our design efforts as Design Manager, bringing creative vision and technical expertise to every project. Under his guidance, our design team transforms client ideas into compelling visual solutions that effectively communicate their message while meeting all technical requirements for production and installation.

Monica Farias oversees our production operations as Production Manager, ensuring that every sign we create meets our exacting quality standards. Her expertise in production processes and quality control helps maintain the consistency and reliability that our clients depend on.

Jake Wilson manages our fabrication department, where raw materials are transformed into finished signage products. His technical knowledge and attention to detail ensure that every sign is built to last, using the most appropriate materials and construction methods for each specific application.

Brian Andorfer leads our installation team as Install Manager, bringing years of experience in safely and efficiently installing signage of all types and sizes. His expertise ensures that every sign is properly positioned and securely mounted, meeting all safety requirements and local regulations.

Stefany Pope handles office administration duties, providing essential support that keeps our daily operations running smoothly. Her organizational skills and attention to detail help ensure that nothing falls through the cracks in our busy work environment.

Our project management team includes Amber Abruzzo, Emma Martinez, Randi McIntyre, and Jennifer Blume, each bringing their own expertise to managing client relationships and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. Nick Morrison manages our national accounts, bringing specialized expertise in handling large-scale, multi-location projects that require coordination across different markets and jurisdictions. Tiffani Worsham serves as our Permit Expediter, navigating the complex world of local regulations and permitting requirements. Fabian Del Valle combines the roles of Surveyor and Designer, bringing both technical measurement skills and creative design capabilities to our team.
